Our little plot :)
One of the reasons that we adore our neighborhood is that we have a community garden here made up of 60 plots that costs each user $10 per year. $10 for our own little bit of farming heaven??!! We were shocked and got our names on that list!! We probably get over there once a week, although I often stop by on my run just to check on our little plants. It's fun to see them grow. Jonathan and I have never had outdoor space in a place of our own, let alone a whole garden plot a block away. It's been such a treat and a fun activity to work on together. Below is a photo of the garden from the beginning and the rest are from our visit today. So far we have little gem lettuce, dinosaur kale, red beets, purple cabbage, and mustard greens. And, we planted 4 pepper plants today (after I took these photos). Pretty soon we'll harvest many of these and plant more stuff. More kale!!
